Nipped up to beesands with my mate yesterday 8 am til 6ish. Spur of the moment trip so only had a couple of wraps of frozen blacks , hoping for a dab or 2. Nothing doing apart from a couple of rattles until 1ish when I had a whiting around a pound , blank avoided phew. Had a decent size mackerel next so took a fillet off & gave rest to my mate , plan was to try for a ray once the light went. Sadly wasn't to be mackerel baits ended up tempting another couple of whiting , didn't get my dab which was a shame but I did get to christen my Q3 roll on next time20201228_114912.jpg

Well done mate for getting out. I remember fishing a comp at slapton and a 2lb dab was weighed in, those beaches used to have a terrific run of dab.
