Early morning walk on the beach with the dog, not a soul on the beach and a beautiful morning after the recent storm, cracking morning for some fishing, if it wasn't for work

That was yesterday!

3 bass - lost the first one in the surf just as I was about to beach it (rookie mistake), landed the second (48cm male), and the third OMG so much weight and fight BUT I retrieved too quickly and lost it (or it wasn't properly hooked) either way another rookie mistake. I fished like dog poo yesterday

Wow, that is so gutting! That sick feeling when a good fish comes off is one every angler will sympathise with.

Should of had the bacon and coffee on, would have landed it and had a pb while the bacon sandwich and coffee went cold.

I'm must admit - I'm very lucky my boss is understanding of my need to fish on sunny blue sky days
