Fished a couple of hours up a couple of hours back on a East Devon beach Saturday. Target was the first plaice of the year. Fairly slow fishing, with a coloured tinge to the water and a horrible swirling wind. First cast resulted in the target a nice plaice of 1lb8oz. A while later another plaice, smaller this time around the lb mark. Then as the light was going a flurry of bites brought another two plaice ashore, with the best going nearly 50cm, only 2lb1oz and still very skinny. A nice day out and pleased to have got my target. Well done Squiddy. Nice report & photo. 🎣🎣👍👍

Great report Squiddy mate, very nice spotty. 🎣 🎣

Ian.

Nice mate, you done better than most this year, seems poor compared to previous seasons early on..
I think it is because of the storms, and loads of rain, making the water very coloured, and Plaice are sight feeders.

Hopefully with some settled weather, the catches will improve
