I thought that the heads would be too crunchy to eat, so fed them to the seals as an extra treat.

was 2 dead porpoise on beach and 2 seals withe their heads missing

I've seen a few reports of seals with heads missing reported from that side and other areas in the UK over the years. Some were reckoning that it could be down to a large porbeagle. Whatever it is, it sure is a strange phenomena to happen. You'd think a nice bite of softer belly would be a bit easier to chew on than a skull

People do cut the heads off dead seals etc to collect the skulls.
