I actually found I could grip the thirties better than the twenties as my hand fit just inside the end plate on the thirty rather than against it on the twenty.
Surprised at that as I thought the M4GT'S were a much more powerful rod than the profile. It's the evo's I have and I only use 150 grams on them most of the time although they will handle 170 no problem and if I need more than that I use the nines.
Think I'll forget TLD and try and find a pair of Abu 9000cl's in very good condition. I've never caught skate from the beach before which is why I want to go to Scotland to try for one.
Interesting, not heard of this rating before, assume the profiles will be a 4 on this rating ? If that is correct the M4GT'S would sit perfectly in the middle of them.
Thinking big skate switching to the low gear for winching in deep water may make things easier on my old back. Looking now the TLD20A is bigger than I thought so may try and find a two speed in a smaller size . Used to have an Abu 9000cl which was a fantastic reel but don't think they make it...
Sport fish Bristol is worth a look, it's not cheap but well worth it if do fish a lot in the sun. I've got several shirts and a few hoodies. All of mine are fly fishing branded stuff but I do wear them beach casting and lure fishing and the shirts are nice enough to wear as smart casual stuff.
Not too fussed about weight.
Yes but my T900's will do that.
Yes both hopefully going to Scotland later in the year. Wonder if the M4GT'S would be easier on my ageing body being a foot shorter and I assume lighter.
Rigs and knife, scissors, disgorger, bait needles etc in washing up bowl then reels rinsed under tap till bowl is near full. Reels wiped dry with microfibre cloth which is then used to dry stuff in bowl then wipe down the rods. Reels get a partial strip clean grease and oil whenever I feel they...
Fifty two weeks in a year so a weeks money for a pair of rods not bad really, especially when a fly rod costs that for one. On the other hand keep saving your hard earned so you can leave it all to the inland revenue.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Not many reviews of these out there at the moment, anyone on here using them can you give an honest opinion on casting and fishing with them, especially interested if anyone has used both these and the century T900 for a comparison cheers.
