After a long break from beach fishing, I am back and loving it.
Currently using my 30yr old Daiwa Supercast X and Supercast, both 13ft multi rods.
I also have a new sonik sks black 13ft for my daughter or son to use when they come along.
Looking to buy another rod, seen a good deal on an AFAW 6andbait 13ft and almost ready to pull the pin on it.
I want a good all rounder I can use on a bit of rough ground or the beach, my supercast X definitely wont be any good or used on the rocks but I love it on the beach.
I dont fancy any 3 piece rods and feel cofy casting 13ft.
My question to you guys is the afaw worth a punt at £180 or is there somthing else out there better bet?
Maybe a saltist 13ft6? Similar price

Thanks for the advice

Got a 6 n bait plus multi plier up for sale never used on beach cheers

Maybe I'll save a few more pennies and go for a fireblade.

Of the two the Fireblades would certainly be my choice, in particular the 14' GT which I
think is a fantastic rod and exceptional value for money. (If I was to buy a Fireblade I'd get one built up with an extra intermediate guide on the tip if using multies. A builder like Rossco or Stan P build up blanks for not that much more than a standard factory build). The 6nB I find is a decent casting tool but a jack of all trades master of none, and is lifelessly numb in comparison to my preferred rods. On the other hand my mate has a pair and uses nothing else! Tackle is always a subjective choice and it's always the last few feet that matters most. Try before you buy if at all possible, maybe ask advice from local anglers, organise a meet and try a few with your own reels, could save you some costly mistakes👍

Have used top end rods but recently swapped for tronixpro pro blackout comp must say build and price fantastic cast just as far as my other rods and bit registration spot on all at at just over half price just ordered the Naga as well

100% agree especially on the gt

My Father in Law has 2 13ft 6 and Bait rods and they're pretty good all round rods. A little heavy compared to other rods mentioned. £180 new is a good deal.
He has recently upgraded to the Century Fireblade 14ft GT's which he loves. Lighter than the 6 and Baits with a better casting action and better bite registration with the glass tips. Around £325 new for the 14ft version but in my opinion worth the extra money if its in your budget.
I myself purchased a pair of secondhand Century Graphex Supermatch rods like @Reevsey rod. I absolutely love them. Lighter than the Fireblades and with Titanium guides and glass tips. The bite registration is fantastic and the casting action and playing action of the rods is superb. Theyre also a great all round rod. I was originally looking at 6 and Baits myself, as well as the Fireblades but ended up spending the extra on the Supermatch Graphex and don't regret it at all.
In the end it really comes down to budget and getting the best rod for your budget. Hope you find the right rod to suit your needs and budget 👍

If your feeling a bit flush have a look at the afaw tournament match pro much better than the 6n bait , I’ve used rods from all the stables and these in my eyes are by far the best rods I’ve ever come across,
