South Coast West Bexington

[Dexy]

Had a days leave I needed to take yesterday so took a run up to the big beach
Fished from 9:30 to 20:30 trying for a plaice & maybe a ray. Baits coming in untouched for the most part , possibly due to line of nets strung along most of the beach from what I could see.
Ended up with a dab , small plaice & a dog to save the blank.

Bloody nets are a pain. They've got the whole ocean to set nets in - why so close to the shore.

I thought there was a limit how close to the shore they can set the nets.

Know what you mean, was down there myself yesterday from 2pm till 3am didn’t even get a bite till low around 2am & only managed 1 dogfish on one of many last casts .boy was I glad to see him sliding up the shingle certainly is hard going at the moment

Havent been for a while due to health i didnt know they were putting nets out has anyone complained to fisheries about this
