Any one on here use UV clothing for protection from the sun?

I know there not much of it these days especially in South Wales but just wondering if people are starting to use it and what they using?

Sport fish Bristol is worth a look, it's not cheap but well worth it if do fish a lot in the sun. I've got several shirts and a few hoodies. All of mine are fly fishing branded stuff but I do wear them beach casting and lure fishing and the shirts are nice enough to wear as smart casual stuff.

Stay indoors - simples.

I find covering up from high summer sun essential these days, particularly when in the boat. I've a few of the modern sun shirt hooded tops, just don't wash them with added fabric conditioner as it knackers the elasticity. I've a Huk, AFTCO and a cheapy non brand from fleabay, they all appear to be made from the same material and certainly wick well. I'd get one with a thumbhole sleeve thst covers the back of your hands.

Beach what's with all the 'wow" emojis you post? Infact what's with all the generally pointless replies you post all over this forum? Are you that bored? Perhaps you should take up fishing mate, its a healthy way of passing time

FYI I regularly go fishing 2 or 3 times a week. So how often do you go?

I always have a "buff" abroad and on the hottest days.
On the boat I wear a 'buff' every time I go out. In the summer I use my lightweight ones from 'Eagle claw' and 'Garmin', in the winter I use the woolly ones from 'mountain horse'

Also, it is important to protect your eyes from UV, I wear RayBan aviators both summer and winter.

Being immunosuppressed (due to colitis) the drug I use makes me more susceptible to skin cancer as it destroys my 'T' cell immunity, so covering up is not an option for me !

Having had skin cancer , had most of my left ear cut away and a vast tumour removed from my neck , it’s now imperative that I wear clothing that shade my skin , I wear a buff and wide brimmed hat and long sleeved shirts at all time and sunglasses

Saltwater fly fishing hoodies in SPF 50 are nothing like a long sleeved T Shirt , decent ones from the likes of Patagonia are very light to wear and breathable to wick moisture away .they are not cheap but well worth it if you value your skin health.

That’s very sensible but correct me if I’m wrong, you don’t need ‘specialist UV clothing’ to cover up, you just need to cover up with clothing/hat etc?
