As it was the wedding anniversary, I wasn’t involved in this capture, this was the boys own efforts…
He wanted to go beach fishing, so my only involvement was securing him 30 lug to fish with and a lend of my beach tackle seat box so he had plenty of rigs and leads to lose… err launch into the sea. So off he went to a local beach with his rods and lug and proceeded to chuck into the rising tide.
He soon text me to say that he was having bites, but missing them. The pesky blighters soon made themselves known
a steady stream of pout and basslets kept him happy until he had as he described as a proper bite where he landed… 
his first ever cod!!
Needless to say I am extremely proud - and jealous, and will be hitting the beach tomorrow night to try secure a unicorn for myself!
