Nothing directly to do with Ukraine. These are robots, not real people, only on to gather information. A few days ago there were about 7 or 8 of them, mary1234, mary5678, mary9101112 etc etc etc.
What @Shirleycodlin has said. You're not really going to stop them so it's just a case of not approving them. You can't really delete them either as they'll just re-register, so you have to ban and move on. They'll still keep visiting, they just get stopped when they do.
We used to get 400+ on WSF a day, so it's pretty tame here

They basically want to log in, post stuff with links in that they hope you'll click and either give them data (email address) or, in extreme cases, you buy something and don't get the goods.
Thankfully, spammers are crowdsourced now so there are databases that all talk to each other that recognise them and flag them up before they register. It's not always 100% perfect, but it's a lot easier to spot them before they register than it has ever been before.
