The chesil invasion has begun

I always think, if people have that little respect for the environment, wildlife and others who use the spaces, how much respect do they have for their wives, partners, children, colleagues etc etc?

I imagine not a great deal so it tells me there’s probably a lot of ignorant, abusive uncaring wankers wandering around who ideally should probably just be garrotted behind the chemical shed…

I am so grateful we don’t get mackerel in our area. On clacton pier I’m constantly getting asked by foreigners if we get mackerel and it’s funny when they turn up with just feathers. They might jam a bass out, but they’re all under pier and the feather chuckers are casting everywhere but.

Anywhere you can feather mackerel is being turned into a shit hole, as our foreign cousins rape the sea.

There are still many decent ones though and I fished next to some Eastern Europeans the other day and their fish handling was excellent and they returned all of the undersized fish.

It’s not just foreigners though I agree they take shitloads of anything they can catch, but I’ve seen plenty of entirely white British noddy groups of wankers leaving shit on Chesil and many other marks.

It’s not a new thing, probably been seeing it as long as I’ve been fishing

When there’s a chance of a few Mackerel I usually nip down a local beach early when my beloved leaves for work around 6ish, usually there is already quite a few foreigners there. There’s nothing special about the beach just that it’s convenient.
I get a handful for a feed or 2 whenever the tide’s are ok.
I was chatting with a local a couple of years ago who’s Thai bride fished and he was saying that she had caught up to that point around 500! I asked what the hell do you do with that lot to which he answered that they gave them away! In other words probably sell them!

My mate and I used to go out in his boat and sometimes come back with 150. That was over 40 years ago and things were way different.
We used to go around the local OAP's and villages and sell them for 50p each to go towards boat expenses.

Yes as far as taking loads of fish, ie Chesil mackerel, it’s foreigners you see doing it more, though not exclusively.

As far as being litter louts goes, Brits are just as bad and there’s still more of us.

Whenever we went to the Beach, Mum brought us up to live by the motto "Leave nothing but footprints".
Like a lot on here, I usually end up taking home more rubbish than I took with me.

Cod season would see squid boxes everywhere.

Yep but seen it countless times when people don’t. I’ve either seen them directly dump it, the state of their pitch after they leave, or find it on the mark when I get there.
Have been similar since I started sea fishing properly in mid teens.
Winter or summer and certainly not a huge influx of ‘foreigners’ here, so it’s just other British anglers. If you can call them that.
