North Wales Spawn of Padrig?

Actually had one with 3 bands on it last week from Amlwch. Definitely no magnets!!
I was only joking about the magnets, it was just reference to a really old post (y)

In 2001 a survey was done that found Common skate appeared to be associated with sandbank areas in Red Wharf Bay and Conwy Bay. The survey was referred to in a document published in 2018 by Natural Resources Wales. This was the juicy bit that mentioned the common skate.

Not sure what exactly they mean by "appears to be associated with", I'm guessing egg cases washing around or large impressions in the sea bed, otherwise the wording would be different if they'd found a specimen surely wouldn't it?

It'd be pretty cool to see a few blonde rays caught from the shore off the East of Anglesey though (like has been done from the West).
