South Coast So where are you going and what are you going to target when Boris sets us free??

Interested about Eastney, though. The place for plaice when I first got back into it, but huge casts necessary. Is it still the same?

I'm gonna christen my new rods at Sandbanks when they arrive next week, targeting plaice.

Though I might take a lure rod down to Sandbanks ferry before that, if the weather is ok. I can't be arsed getting cold and wet at my age, and it's no fun trying to chuck a lure into a 40 mph wind anyway.

Big tides and you do need a proper chuck..... but its slow there atm. I have a hunch on big springs no gtees but if you want to head that way send me a message and i will share my hunch!

I could fish every day too but not a lot locally this time of year and for various reasons I haven’t been out during the first part of the year.

Keep meaning to drag my arse down to my local huss spot and hopefully start getting back into it.

Would like to do Chesil when allowed although I’m shuddering to think how many will be down there.
Probably get a spot on cogden with a bit of a walk, it’s usually a bit less manic than the campsite brigade car parks at Abbo and Bexi.
My only problem is it’s a long journey to then discover everywhere is rammed.

Will keep an eye on the reports and see how busy it gets. There’s always Portland for wrassing, which I enjoy too.

Sussex coast for black bream, gilt heads, bass, plaice, soles, doggies (not by choice) smooth hounds and plenty of bl**dy crabs.

Reading press i think Wales will be sooner than England.

Lets all hope as soon as though.
Confirmed travel in Wales for the Welsh 27th March & Caravan site opened then.
So bass here we come!

All ways fish the railings, got too popular years ago so don't mind naming it now.caught codling off there but I prefer catching dabs off there.

I'll be targeting the BC for most of my fishing, for two reasons. The first is that at around a hundred miles it's the closest sea fishing for me, and the second reason being that my lad lives in Bristol so we can fish together.

I will also be doing a few trips to Brighton to see my daughter, and intend taking the rods every time we go.

Finally, we are hoping to get a couple of trips away to 'somewhere' this year, and no holiday would be complete without the sea rods tucked in with the luggage.

As for target fish, I will be happy to take whatever comes along.

4 nights or so at a lovely private 120 acre lake I fish ...bring everything i need coolboxes cookers comfy bed toilet the lot and don't leave the swim the whole time usually ?
got France sep booked too fishing with my dad 2 weeks septemeber fingers crossed ?
just hope everyone can get back out safely and go wherever this year

I did a bit of shore fishing 30 years ago, but it was mainly boat fishing with a good mate until he sold his Boat! So decided back end of 2018 since I'm now living in Plymouth, to get back into some shore fishing. Ordered a new rod & reel, and promptly got rushed to Hospital - not been well since. As @Cfish said, I could go out for a dangle now but very little 'food' fish about. Managed to get out once last year, not been out yet this year, and no plans until the weather warms up, but some Plaice would be good so, like @Reevsey, considering a trip to the shingle at Slapton/Beesands later on. Not into travelling lots of miles to wet a worm, and to be honest, we are more concerned at the moment about the state of our 'shack' in France having not been able to get over there for nearly 2 years.

Local for rays and plaice get all excited about the arrival of the hounds but my main target will to get a double this year don’t care wot it is like to do it from my own patch but got a good feeling about chisel this year had some good sessions there last year feel this year chould be better from my point of view can’t wait it’s gonna be banging ???

‘Brighton to see my daughter’ ?

Is that some sort of code...? ?
