Cork handles,

I'd prefer the Corked Bottles.?

I started off with the green 4-8
Cork handle and huge chrome reel seat.

thats the one! the mouse ate the cork on mine, had a black reinforcement on the bottom of the tip. I dragged a few pb fish out with that rod.
Remember painting the tip with some dodgy radioactive watch paint.
I felt like I had a massive pair on the beach with that and my squidder...... great memories, blue hands, blue lips and a pile o cods..... banging at the baitdiggers door on the ness looking for more blacks at 1.50 a score..... feck me i am old!

I've still got a Milbro 12ft beachcaster from about 50 years ago that my Old Man bought me - similar thing, Cork handles, huge chrome reel seat and a horrible stale mustard colour!

I remember having a moment when I went into Stocker Bros the bike shop on Hayling and seeing the milbro range! Truly cutting edge....... the four foot long beige plastic handle looked sooo sexy, probably a good job it was wipe clean!
