Advice Rig body?

I get through a lot of rigs up here in the channel.
And have found a very cost effective line is asso classic on 1kg spools..... You won't find much cheaper tbh.

I generally use 60-80 for leaders and snoods and 100 for bodies.

Had all my hounds, rays, eels on it the last few years, with very few loses ?

Usually just whatever mid range 60/70lb I can find, which then gets used for shockleader too.

Currently on a 4oz spool of Berkeley Big Game but only because that was the cheaper option in the shop at the time, lol.

Don’t see the point of buying anything too fancy for rig bodies, it will get lost soon enough on my coast.
Strength and a decent thickness are my main considerations...

Thanks Mr Fish. My problem is access to this kind of stuff in a local shop. I can get wee bits and pieces but not a lot of choice otherwise.

Yes, I realise it might have to be the mail order route.

Tbh my local shops aren’t what they once were or have shut down, so one of these days I’ll probably swap to ordering bulk spools for fig body/shockleader.

Just to add, I really don’t think it matters TOO much what brand. Cheap and nasty best avoided but I don’t think rig body line you need to be too particular.
The only advantage of buying 4oz spools is if I don’t like the line, I won’t get that one again

I think the 4oz spool is a good suggestion,, cheers.?
