Went out for a couple of hours this morning to do a bit of a recce to the north gare.
It was a massive low water tide 0.3m at 11.35am.
So I left custard sat in the house with the grandson babysitting 😁.
I arrived at 10.30 out came the phone and took a shit load of pics of the ground I will be fishing over at high water this afternoon at 4.30.
Me being me couldn't just go with my phone I took my bag and rod with me for a mess about.1000015653.jpg1000015675.jpg.after taking all the pics I needed I set up with a weedless sandy Andy and out it went. After a couple of casts i moved further up the trying different spots. I was about 3/4 along the pier being about 15 ft above the water when I noticed 3 huge boulders just under the water so that was my target.
1000015074.jpgYou can just make them out at the top of the pic. Second cast right between them with a slow retrieve and a twitch fish on. It gave a canny little scrap, then the fun part, hand balling it up the side, it wasn't as bad as I thought and there it was a nice silver bar measuring in at 48 cm.1000015698.jpg1000015699.jpgA few pics and it was safely returned I would of gave it 9/10 for the entry nose first with a little splash and he was gone🏆.
I had a few more casts with no results so rapped it in to save myself for the session later on.
I'm going to give it a go fishing into darkness something I've never done using lures should be fun.
I'll put a report up later of my next session.

Well done Stevie - nice Bass. Good luck for later. 🎣🎣👍👍

Erm, well done I think.
But it's about time you stopped sodding around with spiky sea rats and went codding 😁
