Well its got to that time a year when I break the Thompson brick sealer out and give my winter kit a good sloshing with it.
I did this last year and have been doing it for several before that, last year I did 3 jackets, couple bib and brace and a pair a trousers and have to report that none leaked at all, I did get some damp lower legs from the trousers, but that was from them finally giving up the ghost after nearly 50 years of on off use.
The rest of the kit did what they was supposed to do. Thompson had changed the recipe to a one coat liquid and I was a bit concerned how it would react to clothing, but it was fine with no damage at all and it kept the water out as good as the previous stuff.
Its easy to apply, as its just a milky liquid, so just paints on with a brush, leave to dry and then its ready for the rain.
