South West Poor fishing!

Great stuff mate. Wow, amazed you could do your lifts with all that going on?

I don’t know if it’s similar but I’ve got quite a lot of left arm pain these days, mostly forearm, though sometimes upper arm/shoulder.
The right has a few twinges but the left isn’t brilliant, though not excruciating.
Probably down to years of typing, I’m guessing.

I won’t hijack the thread any more (sorry guys), I’ll drop you a message later Mike.
It’s probably from self abuse in your case mr F✊???

CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) is an inflammation problem in the sheaths (tunnels) that the tendons for your fingers pass through in your wrists. Bleddy painful. Wifey had to have both of hers done a while back. It can be caused by a lot of typing & RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) but if you've got pains in your forearms, it's not CTS! I get awful pains sometimes in my arms and hands, and muscles lock up - it's cramps that have started post Cardiac treatment, and I put it down to the meds they have got me on.

Cheers, yes I did think CTS was more about the wrists.
Mine is mostly forearm but can sometimes radiate upward to include most of the arm.
I’m guessing it is just some sort of RSI from years of computer work and poor posture.

Sounds daft, but even holding my phone and typing can become painful if I do it too long.

If you're left handed (like me!) you need to work to the 60/40 rule. Count to 60 and then use the other hand! ???

Taking a different direction this year, fly fishing for trout from end of march.... But will be targeting mullet or bass and sole mostly when I do go to the shore.
Might make the odd smoothie session in there somewhere too.

Since the arrival of the wee one, along with covid, it's knocked my fishing down to weekly at best. I was going 3 or 4 times a week prior to his arrival....
