I can honestly say that the mere 3 trout I've caught at Blagdon/Chew since beginning fly fishing have been utterly superb fun, I caught a couple of 3lb+ a few weeks ago on a 5wt rod, was brilliant.
Defo beats dragging in strap congers on heavy beach gear!
Few people on here are experienced fly fisherman, many in this thread but also @Plaicehunter , he has helped me get started and I am very grateful for his help. Defo ask for help on here to get you started!
