After checking my boat and trailer out yesterday after their refit, with a test launch and a couple of hours mackerel fishing from porth colmon, for three mackerel ?,
I decided today to tramp on down to bardsey for a proper session, load’s of pollock from the off, three codling, ( one a keeper ) cuckoo wrasse and a lonely mackerel, no specimen pollock but that was probably due to the small tides and lack of flow.
In a change from the last couple of years small white lures out fished small black lures, tried larger coloured lures too.
I did notice that longer traces were more effective in the small tide flow, 12ft fishing better than 8ft.
