Hello mate. There's another thread about tripods on the same forum board, but im happy with my 6' Golds with luminous holders, and have been for years.
Sand spikes can be dead handy at the right venue, although i got one with a retractable plastic bit that you put your foot on to push it in and that lasted until i found my first bit of under-sand shingle. Snapped like a match
