South West Mackerel fishing

Hi, I’m looking to take my three boys fishing for Mackerel. Does anyone know where the best place to take them is. I would prefer fishing from a piers or from the rocks. I’m looking around castle Douglas area but happy to travel further.

Hi Eric, noticed that you're a new member so thought I would say "Greetings ?". I'm sorry I don't know that part of the Scottish coast very well, so can't offer much help in relation to specific venues. Although having had a very brief squint at Google maps you might want to head further west than Castle Douglas.
