Yesterday I dug a few live sandeels, fishing two running ledgers with 2/0 hooks,one a four ounce gripper the other a plain six ounce bomb. Lost one bass in the surf and weed but landed one after. The bass were hooked on the plain lead after bumping it slowly for a few feet!

need to dig gritty sand on the low water mark on lowtide or dig the side out of a sandbank on low used to be done years ago!
