South East Highs and lows of the past weeks/months!

Sorry to hear about all your smashed kit Stormy, glad you’ve got the rod sorted.

Did you have a drag set though? Or did it all get dragged in regardless?
I always have my drags set…. Except in this one instance! As it was daylight, I was trying for a plaice on one rod and hadn’t loosened it. The other rod was which is why I think that one survived intact. Sod’s law innit.

Ha yes, typical. I’ve left it on the odd occasion when I’ve been fishing for dabs or whatever.
I think that night a spurdog dragged the rod along a wall ???

Usually I set it without thinking but as you say, it’s the one time you don’t bother ?

It was literally THE only time I haven’t in as long as I can remember!! Lol

My mate went feathering down Seaton once thought he was into a fish of a lifetime as well the windsurfer he was dragging in with two hooks in him wasn’t best pleased tho the windsurfer finally got free and come to have a pop at him didn’t last long as me mates a bit of a hard knut and made it clear he was there first and and kindly offered him some Anaesthetic with his right fist if he carried on he backed down quite quick ?? unlucky on the rod bey nice thornys ma Bute ???

Glad you got your kit sorted, nice ray catch great piccys, did you weigh them,I do the same as dsw, but use ball bearings.

The busted eyes picture makes any angler sad. My way of thinking is that my line is a fraction of a mm and the Herberts have the whole sea to use, but they want the tiny bit l am using. Grrrrrrhh!
Well done on the fish though mate.

Well done on the rays?
