Hi All,
Just retired and planning an extended trip to Ireland to visit family in May this year.(Usually come over twice a year on flying visits). We'll be bringing our motorhome and looking to do a full circumnavigation.
I would like to bring a couple of rods with me for a bit of lure/float fishing from the shores etc.
Can anyone advise is it OK to just turn up and fish from the shorelines? Is there anything about in May worth chasing?

Just looking for a few tips on what tackle may be worth bringing please.

A beach caster + a spinning rod should do ok.

There are quite a few places where it might be advisible to seek permission from the Farmer/Landowner to cross their land, some can be objective because of the mess some leave behind.Never had a problem myself and I used to go over 3 or 4 times a year for 2 weeks at a time.(y)
