The second outing today didn't go to well. I got there at 4.30 pm high water at 5.45, 5.6 m. The water was as flat as a witches tit so I put on a patch and chucked it out for some surface action I've never had a fish off the top yet. The spot I was fishing on this tide is about 8-9 ft deep1000015705.jpgAfter about half an hour I changed to a shallow diver thinking it might be to deep for a patch. Then changed to a deep diving lure still nothing after another half hour I put on the sandy Andy I caught on earlier still nothing. so decided to move up the pier a little bit. That's when I seen the bastards seals fecking loads of them there was about 20 of them from 20 yards out to 100 m. They were patroling up and down the length of the pier. An old bloke came walking down off the end he had been bait fishing. He said he had a bite it felt like a whiting then wallop he nearly had the rod ripped from his hands it snapped the line and a a seal popped up with his fish and his terminal tackle in it's mouth.
I kept chucking out my lures out and checking my phone of the pics I took earlier at all the points I wanted to target and still nothing it got to 7 o'clock and gave up.
Well there's always next time but not tomorrow 45 mph winds and pissing down all day not for me.☹️
