Unfortunately there is also a downside of purchasing items in this situation ... I think the screenshot from this afternoon says it all really. This is why you need to use a credit card because if you used a credit card or point of sale loan (such as paypal credit) to buy your items the transaction should be covered under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Most cards provide cover under their terms but the act gives provision to raise a claim against your bank or lender for a breach of contract or misrepresentation by the supplier of goods (even when the supplier is no longer in business).
