Fishing ban

Worthing council have banned fishing from shoreham harbour right past worthing ,rumoured brighton council are going to do it as well
1st time I have heard of this, not in the press or online Mike. Where did the info come from? I know Shoreham West Arm is members only -rip off.

Once the grt white gets here you can borrow it to get rid of a few swimmers!!! Bleddy annoyances!!!

Total ban from may till September, including night time fishing ,this will hit local fishing tackle shops hard including local bait diggers ,and what about local anglers who dont have transport to go to other places to fish

I don't know the beaches or area but have you had a look at the maps in the link posted by Tramps? They only look like sections of beach?

think your right,only sections.

I can't see the logic of any ban after dark - how many go swimming after dark, unless drunk? They also mentioned about a hazard from lost tackle, and retrieving any lost tackle at low water - good luck with that when a leader breaks at 100yds or more.

No idea, don't know the area or the fishing so would be pretty meaningless to me anyway. Just got that with a quick google.
Me neither, never been there lol.

Just wondered what the total ban area was?

I know walking more than 100m from the car seems to be anathema to a lot of the south coast fishermen ???

Jobs worth, are you sure they are not in with the Green Party idiots from Brighton. That's the last time they get any money from me, parking, shopping etc etc. At least Seaford area you can fish anytime. Same as Brighton Marina if that's your thing.

That will be a first for AT.
here we go again ... usual stupid anti-At crap from people who know no better. Ever thought of maybe getting involved if you don't like the way the AT do things?

This is no better .. https://www.talkseafishing.co.uk/forums/threads/the-at-tuna-announcement.1831/

Angling will die while you are all busy slagging anybody that ever gets involved in anything.

That's me done with this site .. just sick to my back teeth of seeing people continually slating instead of trying to improve things.
