South West Early morning Exmouth

Had a early start over at Exmouth this morning, was stunning as the sun rose up, fishing wasn't quite as good as the scenery. Started on the metals and didn't have a touch, managed 1 small joey on a isome jig head, plus few nice Ballans, Corkwing, Tompots, Shanny, and a small Pollock all to small bits a bait close in the rocks.
Swapped back to lures after catching the close in fish and losing a few jig heads but still not a touch.
After a couple hours of fishing and totally numb feet, I decided to pack it up and trundle home.
Was really nice starting early but dont think ill be making to much of a habit of it, well maybe in the summer.

Never fished Exmouth some nice wrasse off the harbour apparently well done B

Good selection of species Bob. Exmouth can be an excellent and accessible venue these months into January. Thanks for sharing ?

Nice mixed bag mate, I'd be happy with that on the LRF gear ? I enjoy fishing Exmouth during Autumn/winter, have had some busy sessions on the jigs. We were considering a trip down to Exmouth on Thursday but I think the wind is swinging round to an unfavourable direction so may need to rethink that one!
