So Friday met up with bananas at branscome to try for hounds that are starting to run down here well we didn’t find a hound but I did manage a couple of macs on me pully pop up rig which is encouraging both me and B had plenty of dogs which a mainstay f branscome orso only had rag frozen peeler and cart did get one hit on the rag chould have been a hound anyhoo nice to catch up with Bobby?
Saturday saw me and my normal fishing partner head for another local mark I had my first covid vaccine in early arfternoon so was gambling a bit if I’d feel up for it later but if I stated feeling rough I’d head back . Anyhoo we tried for hounds over low but wasn’t happening so I switched over to plaice rigs on 2 rods and fresh peeler for-hounds on another had a dog straight away to the rag on the cobra lite good fight on the light rods. Then dead for a few hrs then I had my first plaice of the year a nice fish at 1lb 8 oz so cuffed with that I then had 3 more in the space of an hr all carbon copies of the first one apart from the last plaicei had which come to 1lb 12 oz ( at last a decent sesh under me belt ?) my mate kept trying for hounds and was getting plenty of plaice Bites but no hook ups night time fell and out come the dogs lost count arfter a while was trying for hounds and rays but need more colour in the water really . my mate managed a lovely little solefirst we’ve seen here and last cast a 4 lb did huss something different to the dogs .
so for once not a bad weekends fishing had me first macs and bagged up on wot turned out to be my best plaice session to date see how I feel might go tonight aswell ???41E95119-8890-4EBD-A05D-AEBD9583BD4F.jpeg8608C897-923B-44A5-B8D1-B3C68F25BD68.jpeg8791C4F2-8F78-4A75-BE6C-C2B78F3A4E86.jpeg5F6F5A0D-F010-41A2-A9F4-A418D9714753.jpeg4643E76F-B7A5-422F-9319-6B04134B82C8.jpeg969E4A4C-C661-4BAC-BC93-0C0D6E474F21.jpeg32AAA057-831F-430F-BC6E-89817EBEF7D8.jpeg

A superb session Tat and some really nice plaice there for tea too. I'm interested in your pop up rig for the mackies. How does that work and what bait do you use?
