Well as promised a wee report,
Started in daylight
one cast and then moved and caught this little rascal 
And now on to the witching hour
which took an age to get dark so let’s add on half an hour for good measure and as if by magic 
this little porker consumed the main course, next cast 
then missed one, amateur, but normal service was resumed with not one but two 
greedy buggers, to be fair I did pop out a 2hook rig which could have got messy considering the severe nature of the ground but hey ho he who dares and all that, was beginning to twitch somewhat having only fished the flood here one before and with it starting to rain visibility was at a premium, what the hell in for a penny, anyway time for a couple of quick casts which resulted in both cast’s having the same outcome, fish on and snagged and I was not for buggering about so steady pull and both “dropped off” strangely never lost any tackle the whole night (bonus) all fish returned as per normal and made it off the scaur with about 15 minutes to spare, season dying off with non stop seas this past while, hopefully get a couple of goes in calm weather that will be different
