South West Dogfish?

Are you sure it's not a "Black Dogfish" and not just a black dogfish. I'\/e seen plenty of black dogs at certain on Anglesey but not as solid as that, they are usually lighter underneath and still spotty as opposed to the rarer deep water Black dogfish

Just past Kirkcudbright
I have never seen one that dark from the solway. Had a couple in kirkcudbright bay recently and they were not that dark, what you would expect as normal. It reminds me of the ones we see posted being caught in the sea lochs further up the west coast, they all seem very dark
Might welll be a kelpy one a Cfish has suggested having a bit of a roam about.
