Me and a couple of mates headed west to target the red spots. Good tides and near perfect conditions apart from it being a little bit bright. We managed dogs, grey Gurnards and surprisingly quite a few whiting that are late moving off. The plaice came in flurries with quiet spells in between. Final count was around 25 plaice between us, biggest fell to me 46cm fish but only 1lb10oz and very thin. Average stamp was 30-35cm so reasonable size for early doors. A few other fish around the 1lb8oz mark. Rag blow and peeler all worked. All in all a reasonable day on the flats. Plenty of spiders dragged in and a few lost hooks didn't spoil it too much!
