Beach Fishing with Grandson

My Grandson asked if I can take him shore fishing in the summer. He is 11 years old and I have sorted him a rod, fs reel, snap swivels + some weights (plain & breakaway). Just hoping that the weather & sea plays ball. His dad (my son) will fish as well.
PS: I will let him use a rod rest.

I have a 10 yr old grandson who been diagnosed with autism took him fishing and he came alive can't keep him away now
until the weather is bad and can't go then all hell breaks loose
