Anyone heading out weekend?

I presume you mean Seaton East Devon Bob? Being stuck in the middle of two Seatons, it sometimes gets a bit confusing! Not difficult when you're old & senile like me!
Yep the Devon one, not been the Cornish one for a good while now, im lucky being in Paignton as its a hour to both of them

We stayed at Seaton a few years ago, and i had not been sea fishing since i got married.
I had a reel i got the previous year to take to Bude (where my daughter broke reel and so got better one to replace) and i went to town and bought spinning rod which fitted across boot shelf in Escort, when closing boot/hatch  it trapped the end of the rod and broke it. Thought that was a waste of time, anyway went to West Bay and shop there fitted new one.
Walked to Seaton beach and on road at top wife said looks like no one here, went on beach and it was chocker (you could not see them from road, found space towards left end spoke to a couple and both said nothing happening, first cast out good size mackerel, and then a couple more, only 2 other people caught in the hour i was there.

Was trying to look on google maps/earth where else i tried (only 10 mins as wife was waiting in car). Caught 1 mackerel.
Went off main road and at bottom looked like a load of old holiday bungalows on the right side and had a small wooden pier, will have another look later.

Looked for ages, no wonder i never found there.
It was when we stayed in Looe, the beach was Millendreath.

Am told it used to be good for bass there!
We used to go down there quite a lot, but I've heard the owners have got arsey about locals fishing down there, and the parking has got expensive for non Emmets & guests.
