Advice on a new tripod

(y)I tried calling them both this afternoon but got no reply from Medway and an answerphone message from Maidstone. I have now emailed Maidstone Angling and will hopefully get a reply in the mornng.
I'm not sure how they are operating at the mo but I'll try and give them a nudge for you (y)

Cheers mate! That would be great.
Medway tackle are due to get them before then end of the month, they've got a new website up and running now or give them a call. Delivery £4.99. Maidstone angling don't know when they are getting any in. Hope this helps mate.

Cheers mate. I will call them at the end of the month.

This thread demonstrates all that is great about this forum!

Cheers again.

I agree Will, hopefully it stays this way.
Tight lines
Pete.

Why oh why don’t they’re make a collapsible one...!!!....
They sort of do.

I thought most of them were collapsible to some extent. My Shakespeare salt goes down to about 1 metre, 30 seconds to remove the rod support & bottom cups, and it all packs neatly in its own canvas bag.

Ffs...I have just had to buy an estate car to fit mine in... it’s a seven footer...and it still doesn’t fit...!!!!!

Does anyone know if the veals tripods are compatible with the Ian Gold's accessories or vice versa?
Thanks

Haha! It looks good, but I've just clicked the link & it's out of stock until December 29th. Same with a lot of tackle - Covid has fecked up the Chinese imports.
I bought a great one a few years ago, as I only go fishing ?? a couple of times a year, it's still looks brand new!!!!!
Telescopic legs and a hook in the centre for a brick to be attached.
Pushed into the sand it's very strong.
Obviously, a home made stronger type would be more suitable for you ardent fisherman, who have the opportunity to go fishing ?? daily.
For me it's a cost thing.
£20 my maximum

Yes, this sort.
Looks like the one I've got.
Didn't pay that much ?

I have the Shakespeare salt, had it for around 6 years i think, never had any problems (y)
Me to, tough as old boots. I like the adjustable side rails that stabilise everything.

I've got 2 imax tripods,
I have the blue Imax version find it very stable and don't find it heavy, collapses to 4ft and fits in the boot, extends to 7ft ideal for my 16ft Triplexs and 15ft Imax Surfs both 3 piece rods.I also have a 6ft Ian Golds Supermatch with leg locks and trace bar that fits both tripods and makes them even more stable.Don't use the Ian Golds very often these days as I use the longer rods as opposed to the 13'3" Daiwas,13'6" Syntras and the 13'6" Imax 4Ceps.(y)
