West Coast A few fish from Scotland trip, Carradale.

I refuse to go to the west of Scotland because of the midges..
We really haven't had a problem at the times of year and area when we go, originally we tried different times of the year and different areas of Scotland and it's been terrible. We must just be lucky ?

Not just the West, we get them over here on the East - although nowhere near as bad they still annoying.
I got "eaten" at a trout fishery near Livingston. Alarmingly the past few years we've been getting them here in the fringes of Edinburgh.

I was doing some stealth camping near Lochnagar and they were everywhere, not used the bivvy bag since.
