A couple of hours out on the boat.

Managed to get out on my boat for a couple of hours this evening in search of bream.
Just half a mile from Yarmouth Harbour towards Fort Victoria between Norton Wall and the Boathouse Cafe.
Only 200 yards off at a spot I've caught before.
The fish were there for about half an hour and I got 4 in the boat but put one back.
They do pull well, I love them.
1 in the pan tonight, 1 each for me and my mother for lunch tomorrow.
My wife and son are on their monthly visit to the mainland so will miss out.
I'll go out again in a couple of days and try a morning tide.

Good man! Got to love a successful quick session? Never caught or eaten them in the UK as they haven't ventured this far north (yet?)

They are an excellent eating fish.
Best left to rest in the fridge for 24 hours before filleting and frying in butter with plenty of salt.
Very good on a 20lb rod, they fight all the way up and try and pull you in when you get them to the surface.
