South East Plenty of fish from the Swale

Don’t know if he’s on here but it was GSPseafishings video that convinced me to have a crack in the Swale. If you’re reading this cheers!

South East Plenty of fish from the Swale

I think I was lucky as the fishmonger stand is shut due to COVID but they had whole packaged mackerel in the chilled fish section. To be honest I wouldn’t eat them myself but okay for catching dogfish and whiting :D

South East Plenty of fish from the Swale

To be honest that’s all I do! But hopefully it will show how easy and delicious they are :)

South East Plenty of fish from the Swale

Evening all, I’ve been desperate to get out for a Chuck or two but a combination of 60+hr weeks at work and lockdown has meant I’ve not been able to fish for weeks and weeks. I managed to set aside some time this morning. Didn’t think it was on driving 70 minutes all the way to my usual spot...

    Dropped a clanger...

Use it as chum from the shore for summer mullet / gar fishing? Mixed with some bread.

    South East Mutant bass!

Nice report mate! But I hope you didn’t eat the bass as you may catch whatever it had :D

    South East Dungeness - 18/10/20

    South East Dungeness - 18/10/20

Good afternoon fine Sirs, My first report in this forum since the FUBAR upgrade on WSF :p So the plan this weekend was a session behind the boats at Dungie. I wasn’t confident due to the calm weather and bright sunshine, but on the plus side it was a big tide. Managed to dig some nice bait...

    South East Dungie or Bartons

Very little weed around the swale and at seasalter today

    South East dungeness point

See I’m an idiot and just keep driving that 65 minutes to Dungeness as I love it there. Done terribly the last three sessions but I’m going back tomorrow and still have that surge of excited hope - keep an eye out for a catch report (or lack of one!). I think I need to take a leaf out of your...

    South East Small tide bounty

I’m getting seriously jealous now mate :D

    South West Floundering around

Well done on the flounder! I live on an estuary with very similar mud so know exactly what you mean. Those little harbour rag are a cracking bait but a pain to dig. How did the flounder taste? I’ve only eaten open sea flounder (which were delicious) but always read estuary fish will be ‘muddy’.

South East Out for a quickie

Well done mate, you’re smashing it this year!

    South East dungeness point

I was at Dungie yesterday, had hopes as big tides and recent stormy weather. However it was crap - tide wasn’t anywhere near as big as expected, it was bright sunshine and even though there was a swell and the water was coloured I caught nothing but tiny whiting. it’s been a pants six months...
