Cheers.
I have been looking around, but the sizing is a headache.
Went to tackle shop last night but there was nothing suitable.
Will have a look around in the sales :) 🤞
Hello Topwater
Just been looking at Musto website, it does look top notch gear.
(Didn't realise that there was specific gear for ocean sailing, doesn't look a poor man's sport!)
Proper well designed and well made.
As you say, an investment that pays for itself with time/use.
That was my post...
Hello Mr Fish
That does look a good deal.
With your suit, do you find the sizings realistic/accurate?
I am drawn more towards a two-piece suit, as I am tall and skinny.
A large (if the sizes are true to life) would be maybe not too big, with layers beneath...
Afternoon all
Looking round at possible alternatives for not freezing my proverbials off this winter.
Was looking at possible beach shelters and/or a flotation suit!
(I had never heard of these suits before, but reading up about them, the marketing bumf says that one would definitely help keep...
Hi JohnL
Thanks for your reply.
Some good food for thought.
Been looking at some flotation suits, a good alternative.
I am tall and skinny, so not sure I would get a one-piece to fit (without being huge around my belly or at half mast/cutting me in half!), but they do look properly bombproof in...
Good call!
I will do that.
Reels came spooled with line, but past experience tells me that free line is not always very good line.
Will have a chuck before I go (fishing or to the tackle shop).
Got 2 entry level rods and reels.
Angling Direct bargains.
(Rods look ok, will hold on with the reel verdict just yet).
As you say, getting bait on a hook out there is key.
Still sussing out weights and rigs.
Thanks to everyone (y)
Evening folks
Just starting up sea fishing (again, after a long break, after all my gear got nicked from my shed).
Coming from a coarse fishing background, so have a bit of kit I can use, mainly looking at what terminal tackle I might need to start up.
I have:
Beachcaster rod
Fixed spool reel...
Evening all
Have any of you fished Sandside or Arnside (Cumbria) in recent times?
I spent most of childhood there and fished it a lot in the 80's.
Pretty much entirely flounders and eels, although I once caught a solitary Pouting!
Just wondered how it fishes these days?
Planning a possible trip...
Hi Dave
That does look a decent bit of kit.
As you say, much easier to move around.
I have scoured the internet but cannot find any TFGear brollies around, the only brolly of a similar design is the Tronixpro.

Not sure if...
NE coast.
Anywhere between Hull and Whitby.
Just starting up, coming from coarse fishing background.
A brolly is great on a lake, but not sure one would survive a winter storm on the beach!
Evening folks
I am new on here and just starting up sea fishing.
Been looking around the internet at tackle and seen a lot of beach shelters and umbrellas.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated.
Cheers :)
