Length of shrink tube on a century?

My century t900 has a 147cm length of shrink tube from the butt - not sure which rod you wanted a measurement on but my kompressors are having a rebuild

    Number of rods and hooks

If I am chasing the tide on low water I will use 1 rod until low and then use 2 rods, normally a pulley rig with pennels in late winter, or a pulley hair rig single hook (dongle/dangle whatever others call it) any other time If I'm on a mark where I'm in the same position throughout the session...

    Super Glue

Never tried super glue, used to use crimps but now I tie a stop knot with some 18lb mono. Not sure the name of the knot but im sure someone more knowledgeable can help out. I would be afraid of the glue reacting with the rig body and possibly compromising the strength of it

    South Wales Ogmore deeps

Very nice venue and easy to get to from the car park, although a pretty steep walk back up a grass bank at the end of the session, which takes about 10 minutes at my slow pace and having to stop midway for a breather 🥵

    Coasters for century t900

Iv had a few sessions out now with the t900 and the penn casting specials. I can do the reel seats up tight enough so they don't move up and down, but they do move around left to right with minimal force. I'm waiting for some coasters to be delivered to see if this fixes it

Advice Bib & Brace - Century v VASS

I use the seatbox around 90% of the time. Keeps everything clean and dry inside and is easy to carry with a backrest conversion and can strap the coolbox to the top. Iv seen anglers using the wham boxes from home bargains so it doesn't have to be expensive

Advice Bib & Brace - Century v VASS

I have a pair of helly Hanson waterproof bottoms from screwfix- they were only cheap and there like oilskins and keep the water out, although they don't breathe and can get damp inside if walking a long distance. Really like the look of the century ones and may pick them up over the winter if...

    Coasters for century t900

Funnily enough I sent century an email just for clarity, and to double check. According to them they fit a 26mm reel seat and they confirmed I would need a 30mm coaster. What grip tape have you used there please

    Coasters for century t900

Thanks all- I did measure and to me it seemed to be a touch over 29mm so would need a 30mm to fit

    Coasters for century t900

Thanks, will measure when I get home- just wondered if anyone on here had already done so and knew which size would be needed

    Coasters for century t900

I want to fit a coaster over the reel seat on my century t900- does anyone know what size I'll need to do so. It's the original sliding reel seat I will be using. Am I right to assume once fitted and tightened the reel seat should stay in place? Thanks

    Multiplier for estuary/light beach

Used to be perfect for flounders (sometimes 3 on a rig), bass, whiting small pollack and codling. I have looked into picking up another pair, mine were from the late 90s/early 2000s, and have heared that they are no longer made in Japan (unsure if the quality has changed over the years). If...

    Multiplier for estuary/light beach

I used to use a 7ht for estuaries and light beach, not sure if there still worth it or if there's anything else out there for the price range, only just getting back into things and a lot has changed over the years.

    Reel position and grip

Thanks- have had a play about with it today on a field and just need to get used to it. I wanted to get something decent as the venues close to me are mixed/rough ground and has been recommended by a few anglers now and it seems to be the rod of choice in the area

    Reel position and grip

Have bought a century t900 and a penn casting special Haven't fished with the reel down before, only in the high position, and used to cast on a field with the reel down, but it has been a while

    Reel position and grip

Cheers yeah I'll be having the reel down, just wasn't sure how far down (or up from the bottom) it should be. Iv seen everyone has it at a different height so assume its down to preference and comfort

Online Your Favourite Online Tackle Shops

I know its an old thread but a shop i havent seen mentioned- the local shops to me don't stock much in the form of lures and plastics so I use Todber Manor for my needs.
