    Super Glue

Do the same as this, find it can slide down with pressure of a fish so use multiple. Great for clipped down rigs where changing snood length doesn't affect reusability as can just slide the tubing up or down to suit the slightly different length snood

Interesting mate, fish solent breezes a fair bit, you had some strange experiences there? Not had anything happen to me personally, Al,

Anyone still catch shore plaice in Cornwall?

Both mate, any netting is bad without doubt. Only need to look at the anglers reports and data on fish stock declines in keeping with the introduction of gill nets... think it was the late 70s/early 80s that gillnetting technology started to gain traction though don't quote me on it! Flatties...

Anyone still catch shore plaice in Cornwall?

Thanks for the advice mate, yeah it's a real shame as I would've loved to have seen those days of flattie fishing which I fear are gone for good. Tight lines,

    Uneasiness

Spooky mate, seems to be a lot of anglers saying the same stories there. Haven't fished the back of the island but Fort Victoria at night by myself was the other place I felt uneasy at, constant feeling of being watched..

    Uneasiness

Had a similar experience fishing on the edge of a reed bed. Heard something big snapping through the reeds. Shouted at it but kept getting closer. Got very close to the point I could see the tall reeds moving 10-15yds away. I charged at it like you, shouting and beaming my headtorch at it. It...

    Uneasiness

Did you ever see anything mate, grew up by the Solent and heard a lot of anglers talk about weird experiences along that stretch of IOW, do you hear other local anglers that have similar stories. Shingle walkers I think they're called`?

    Anyone on here collect tackle?

I do love conoflex fishing rods and have a few now, all are great bits of kit. Always tempted by a good deal involving a nice conoflex rod, would find it hard to turn down a decent price!

    Uneasiness

Was on a south hams rock mark mate pretty remote. Have to say after that I’ll probably head to other marks nearby at night if by myself. Just went very off was strange. Al,

    Uneasiness

Had an interesting session the other night. Fish at night a lot and was just sat watching my rod tips when I was just overwhelmed by a sense of uneasiness. Didn’t see or hear anything, just felt something was off. Packed up and left quickly. Only happened to me once before years ago, not sure...

    For £20 I couldn't resist - 8' Abu Garcia Venerate V2-C

Bought the Rocktrail 5000 baitrunner for £12 in aldi for my flounder fishing/ backup estuary work with little expectation. Really impressed with it so far, landed bass to just over 6 on em, and still running smooth with no issues. Suspect that if it had a different brand stamped on it would be...

Anyone still catch shore plaice in Cornwall?

Hope all is well with everyone. Not looking for peoples specific marks but just wondering whether anyone still fishes for plaice from the shore in Cornwall? With all the inshore netting it's a species that's been hit hard, didn't know whether theres still some areas left where they're a...

    Multiplier for estuary/light beach

Thanks mate, yeah I usually use baitrunners for in close bass work but been very kindly given a lovely estuary/light beach rod built for multi and thought it would be fun to match it with a light multi reel. Appreciate the info, Al,

    Multiplier for estuary/light beach

Hi everyone, hope all is well. Up to this point in fishing, I've always used egg whisks but more recently toying with the idea of converting to multipliers for some of my fishing. I was wondering which reel would suit light beach/estuary fishing, being user friendly, light, but enough guts to...
