Ordered a 4oz spool of the Varivas sport 15 lb nylon which has become my favourite mainline, and a larger than expected box arrived with a very large 5000m spool (0.5kg) of above line, and a note saying they were out of stock of my order, so have upgraded me free of charge.
Thats me sorted for the next 10 years !

Tbf I know you pay more for stuff from there at times but I received one of them tronix buckets with a lid and bowl by mistake. Called them and they told me to keep it and sent out my water bucket foc next day delivery.

I used to use VMO a lot, but when they decided to stop the members 5% discount and start there points system, i no longer purchase much from them, my local tackle shop gets my cash now, and mostly at a better price too. (y)

I think I've bought from Veals direct once, and excellent service, plus they have a pretty good reputation.
I have bought other items from them, but through their eBay shop.

Used them for 30+ years, going back to when they only had catalogues and magazine ads .... never had an issue with them ever. Apart from a few of the local dealers that I know personally they are also the only retailer I will take reels from, purchased by a customer, sent to me to be magged and forwarded to the buyer.

So yesterday at 13.03pm I placed an order for 72 different items about 200 items in total an hour later I get a tracking number and at 17.30 I'm told fedex have got my goods.

7.55 this morning fedex msg to say my goods should be delivered between 8.40 and 12.40 today.

I understand bristol to plymouth means it's just an overnight job. But still bloody great service from Veals and Fedex.

Ordered 2 items from AD. only company with stock at a very good price about 10am yesterday only got a tracking number just now. Being sent with DX.

Tomorrow can anyone in plymouth keep an eye out for my parcel as god knows where it will end up.

I’ve just missed a delivery from DX which apparently needed a signature. The driver couldn’t have made much of an effort as I was only in the garden.

My mrs's aunt sent her a bottle of bubbly March last year for her birthday but we didn't know. September I'm cutting the hedge in the back garden and find a mankey box. Just read our address on it and open it then take a couple of days finding out who sent it. Her aunt spoke to the sender who refunded her in full.

So they dump it over the back fence and it's hidden by the hedge but don't put a card through the door so we know.

DX is a shite company. Not improved since Hermes

Better than one Evri courier who just dumps the parcels on the front step then drives off. Amazonian does care either.

No better than Evri then.

We used to get the depot manager doing our deliveries for Hermes. Really nice reliable guy. Not had a single problem since Hermes was re-branded to Evri either.
Some of the other couriers are terrible. I ordered a new TV online which arrived with the screen smashed. The courier was ordered to collect and return it the following day. They issued an incorrect collection code and managed to lose the TV for 2 weeks. It was bought through Paypal, and without the correct collection code, they refused to issue a refund, and as good as accused me of pulling a fast one and still having the TV. It took me over 3 months, but I did get my refund. Thankfully, I took photos of the damaged TV proving that it was unuseable.

Hermes used to do deliveries for Johnson Ross carp gear.

Popped out literally 5 mins and they left £1000 box on the footpath infront of my front door. I got back and an elderly lady from down the street was stood guard. She asked the bloke to take it to hers 3 doors down the street and he said no it's not my problem.

I called J.R. they went mental and booted hermes the next week.

Part of the same order come the next week with £50 of end tackle in as a Thank You for being honest.
