Yesterday morning the conditions were probably the worst I’ve ever wrasse fished in, with periodic heavy showers, a strong 40mph cross wind and a 1m plus swell every 12 seconds or so. I had to work the lures close in around the gullies and the rock ledges in-between the swell, as once the swell arrived it was just washing everything around. On arrival and looking at the sea state, I set myself a target to catch just one fish. Although only small, I was more than happy to put three in the net considering the unfavourable conditions. All lures were rigged Texas style with a free sliding 14g cone weight.
