I ventured down my local beach today at 2pm low water it was heavy with the easterly windsScreenshot_2021-12-26-23-03-25-23_99c04817c0de5652397fc8b56c3b3817.jpg Screenshot_2021-12-26-23-03-53-71_99c04817c0de5652397fc8b56c3b3817.jpgso I decided to fish Middleton pier got there at 5pm high water at 8.15. fresh lug bluey squid and mussels was on the menu. On arrival a few lads who I know were fishing the end and a few fish were being caught codling up to 4lb. I baited up and chucked it outIMG20211226203037.jpg 5 mins later a pin whiting safely returned. The codling continued coming in about ten on the peir now none of them mine ☹️. But I carried on till about 7pm then wallop my rod tip doubling over banging like a shithouse door in a force ten gale struck into it good fish on got it to the side and a mate was hand balling it up when it was a about 6 feet from the top he said it's only lip hooked and it came off he reckoned it was about 6lb.oh bugger but I cracked on with it and got rewarded with this fella IMG20211226203006.jpg2lb 6oz on my scales pan size wahooo tea sorted for tomorrow. I fished till 10 and called it a night as I'm off out again tomorrow in a local comp, the get Carter open £500 for heaviest fish and a cracking prize table so I'm hoping to catch Jimmy Dick tomorrow that's Moby's big brother. Till tomorrow's report have ?.
