I go away up near watchet for a week on Friday so will be chasing rays and see if there’s any hounds showing. Next week a bit on / off at mo weather wise so will work round it. ?

Ought to get out for a dangle but no plans. My fishing mentor is still on lockdown, busy with (non-fishing) projects going on here, and my chest ain't good. ??

Had to move the break twice with lockdowns so thought sod it this time and have the break. Plus got a load of crab running around the fridge wanting to give their lives for a good cause ?

Bait collecting is going to be my thing, dig a load of lug and maybe get the sandeel net out. Don't like using bait that I haven't caught myself.
I am the same with edible fish, if I ain't caught it I don't eat it. Misses is the same nowadays, at least it gets me out fishing.

In an ideal world, I agree, but there are certain fish that I enjoy eating which I would never catch without access to a deep sea boat. Watched a Cornish video about Sand Sole last night. A quarter of the price of Dover Sole and just as tasty. Never heard of them before so may have to make a pilgrimage to Cornwall to buy some.

We catch them off the beach over sand (dover sole) during nighttime in our area, very tasty and better than plaice/dabs/lemon sole imo. Are you sure sand sole aren't flip-flops Tramps.

I think there are Sole around here but more off the North coast - there's usually about a dozen Belgian trawlers up there every week fishing for them. ?? As for Sand Sole, never heard of them until yesterday.

How many do you want?

I can’t go anywhere under lock down until midnight on Friday then I got to wait for my test to come back , I don’t want to spread it
I thought I might have it as feeling bad for a few days but last couple of days I've been ok touch wood! Get well soon mate!

I see the tides are starting to drop from tomorrow?
Not usually a fan of huge tides on this coast, I must admit.
Had considered a wrassing trip locally today but the weather has turned rubbish. Maybe tomorrow...

The weekend, not sure really. Bank holiday weekends usually get a bit too rammed for my liking, but will give it some thought...

Half a dozen would be nice, but no room in the freezer right now. Maybe give you a shout later. ??

Yep, don't think I will be venturing far this weekend, and I predict I might be feeling a little rough after Saturday - might have to put out a Mayday! ???
