I was guessing as if a whole fish . Bite maybe 3" long out of its back....bit mouldy around the bite , but was lively enough.

Think I lost a possible culprit later on, a big eel flat lined the rod as I wound down and lifted into it ...by the pull easy mid double +.....stopped me dead and took a while to start gaining line before it probably let go of the bait
