Grew up fishing. My father and both Grandfathers fished primarily for the pot. The days of fishing for hounds or huss etc are pretty much over for me, there is nothing better though than coming home with a bit of fresh good eating fish for the pan. If I am bored though and near a source of water I will fish for whatever swims.
Love the solitude and sense of completeness standing in water up to my waste in the complete darkness. Ears, eyes and mind focussed on the job in hand
