I had a short session on the ridiculously named 'Pleasure Pier' at Weymouth yesterday evening..
Expectations were for a calm clear sea, gentle breeze, plentiful fish and some peace and quiet.
The harsh reality was small waves, dirty water,a bitter SE wind, very few fish and some knobs on jet skis showing off only yards away for most of the time.
Add a string of crab pots a short distance from the end to make the let down complete, the grey plastic container used as a buoy can be seen in the wake of the jet ski just under the rods.
Three species caught which is poor for this place but some good banter with some passers-by so, all in all, not a complete waste of time
