Gentlemen ?
I am currently considering a few days fishing ?? in and around the Weymouth area's.
Obviously, as I have never been fishing in this area previously, I ask for some input.
Having heard about the dangers of Chisel Beach from lots of reports.
Any information would be greatly appreciated, re - tackle shops, baits pre-order etc.
Of course this all hinges upon obtaining a reasonable priced accommodation.
Not the stupid prices that some are currently charging.

Tatunka may be able to help you, chesil is a famous venue as is dungeness, chasing ghosts from back in the day.

Chesil bait and tackle, Weymouth angling centre, Abbotsbury tackle shop, all very good bait from them, I would pre order tho just to make sure.
The ferrybridge end is the deeper part to fish and closer to Weymouth, best to try and get away from the crowds if you can, a walk from the car park right (when facing the beach) will bring you to some boards, follow them up the bank, the Adelaide or what's left of her it is up that way so is the bird sanctuary,, going left from the car park is the boiler wreck, not as far a walk, but you can catch anywhere along the beach.
Just keep an eye on the swell even on calm days, and set up a few levels above the surf line. If the beach rumbles ,run!.
Great place to fish, once you got over the steep shingle, seems higher on the return.

Don’t bother is ???

The real issues are with reasonable priced accommodation.
The prices pre school holidays have quadroopled.
Basic single room, shared bathroom, a few miles in land, it's around £400+
Not paying this crazy price ?

If you ask Tat nicely he might offer to take you there
Don't - stop it! That puts images in my head of Tats on Chisel as he calls it, with his dog on one side and a Chimp on the other! ?????

£4000 for a luxury place here, four hundred is cheap.

Just do the same as every one else this time of the year at Chesil and set up camp on the beach, crap on the shingle and wash ur arse in the sea every morning. Oh and the tin foil bbq for cooking everything that comes out the water, size limits don’t count?

When we were down in Meva a few years ago that outside wall was just fecking dangerous with the muppets fishing it.

Also got speakkng to a retired welsh boy, old boy, said he had married a local lass from Meva and been in the town 20 odd years, joked he had nearly been there long enough to be accepted but never a local. ?
